Another DADT moment to remember

Jeff Howe, a highly decorated former soldier who served in Iraq, was discharged from service because of an online posting in which he identified himself as gay.

He received five commendations for his service, including the Army Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal and the Fort Riley “Blue Chip Soldier” Award.

It’s just odd that in these current times when the military needs quality soldiers to fill its ranks, they’re kicking people out (and driving others away) because of what they wrote on the Internet years ago.
